Science in the kitchen!
As I was saying my roof has a leak and we have been getting quite a bit of rain here in Phoenix. Luckily it SEEMS that my leak has been fixed. In the last few weeks it has been a huge bummer to wake up to a wet kitchen. The counters and anything on them, the floors...it's generally been a mess and things have been ruined.
In the picture below you can see that directly below the leaky part of the roof is a basket. In that basket I keep bread, bananas, potatoes, onions, tortillas...generally dry things. A lonely onion was hiding out in the bottom of the basket, minding it's own business.
I went to make a sandwich one day and I noticed that I had what seemed to be a random plant in the mix of all the food. After a little investigative digging, I found the source of the plant. We have onions people! And that is what happens when you "water" your dry goods.

Rain, rain go away!!
Normally you would not hear a Phoenician say that! We need the rain. We love the rain. Generally, rain in Arizona is a great thing. However, when your roof leaks, it stinks!! I live in a great apartment. I really do like it here, but my roof leaks really badly. The first time it happened, I was nice...ya know things happen! So they come "fix" it. Whoops! I find out a few weeks later that is still leaks! This is after I move everything back where it belongs...in direct fire with the DRIP DRIP DRIP. This time the leak grew, and I had a cooler, 2 big bins and 3 buckets. You see, the leak is along a seam and the seam is about 9 feet long. ANYHOW, they came and "fixed it" again. Rinse and repeat and here we are. The fourth rain and the roof is still leaking 6 weeks later. I am frustrated. This time I was not so nice. They are supposed to come today to look, and fix, and do whatever it is they do (that has yet to work). I'll keep you posted. *sigh*

What a crazy thing!
I have been working on this page for days. For some reason the idea just did not come out well once I started. I knew what I wanted it to look like in my head...it just didn't look that way once I started piecing it all together! I would stop working on it because I would get frustrated. Then it was like the word "wait" was taunting me..."just WAIT for a bit...it will turn out!" So needless to say, I finished. I am not all that happy with it, but as the word "wait" indicates, I learned some patience. I do LOVE the verses I found. That part was actually fun. Finding the right lighting to take a picture is difficult. Too bad you can't tell, but the glittery parts are really neat and shiny. Not so much in this photo. Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for reading!

Woe is Wednesday
Today was a bummer. I have been trying to get a custody/child support order from my 8 year old DS's father for 2 years now. Unfortunately for everyone involved the trial keeps getting continued. We had another trial date today...we showed up...my sons dad was not there, claiming illness. I was so upset. I AM so upset. This is the 7th continuance. Luckily the judge made it clear that this is the LAST time that it will happen. I'm just tired. I want to be done with this chapter and move on with my children and my wonderful fiance. I'm not too sure why I feel that I should share this. I have my whole church choir praying for patience and wisdom for the court. I guess I just need to accept that everything happens in the right time, even if I don't understand. If anything it has driven me to go work on my scripture challenge week 4. Ironically WAIT seems to be a good word for me today.

My First Pages
I have been really into altering things for the last year. It has been actually a decade since I have tried to make a real scrap book PAGE! Since I am doing the scripture challenge on CMK and other sites, I have decided to make an album. I tried to use the ATC thing from 7gypsies but I just felt I needed more room to be creative. Anyhow, I have had to start over after getting all 4 weeks done on the ATC cards. I am so glad I did though because I am really pleased with my pages so far! I have posted them here for ya! Thanks for looking!

Into the madness...
So here I am. I had no idea the world of blogging had become this big. As far as I knew blogs were for GEN Y kids who wanted to share their "diary" online. Perhaps that is why I panicked when I signed up for this...I am pretty boring, and nothing in my diary would be suitable for sharing. Alas, here I am, and I'm excited! What a great way to network, share ideas and meet new friends. I am thrilled to be able to post my projects and doo-dads that I love making. I am in the process of taking pictures and getting my pictures uploaded so please stay tuned! World of Blogging...here I come!
